Third week summary. 17-23/02/14.

I've spent 118€.

  • 23% groceries.
  • 38% transport.
  • 31'4 eating/drinking.
  • 7'6% Tourist visits.

I ran only three km.

I'm back!

It had been two years since I last played basketball. And I've been lucky enough to play another game. My plantar fasciitis has let me play for a few minutes. I'm such a bad player now, but I enjoyed as though it would have been my first game.

Thank you CB Sierra for this chance!

P.S. Of course, we won.

Alhambra.

This arabic castle is the last Moorish stronghold in Europe.
It was built in the 11th century, but in 1333, Yusuf I converted the Alhambra in the royal palace, until 1492, when Boabdil surrendered to The Catholic Monarchs.

It has 3 different parts.
  • Alcazaba. It's the military area. You can go to the "Torre de la vela", where you can enjoy one of the nicest viewpoints in Granada.
  • Nasrid palace. There's three different palaces. Mexuar Palace, Comares Palace and the Palace of the Lions.
  • Generalife. The leisure area where the monarchs escaped from the routine.

To visit the alhambra  it's recommended to book a ticket in advance, specially during weekends.
It costs 14€, but if you have the European youth card you pay just 9€. Students cards are not accepted. People from Granada can get in for free on Sundays.

I think you need at least 2 hours to see everything, but I recommend at least 3 or 4 hours.

It's not far away from town. You can go on foot, but it's on a hill, so it's not an easy way, but it's worth it because it's a beautiful path.

Second week summary. 10-16/02/14.

I've spent 90 €. (I don't include the flight ticket).
  • 17% groceries.
  • 39% transport.
  • 38% eating/drinking.
  • 6% going out.
I've visited 3 towns, in two different countries.
  • Torre del Mar and Granada. Spain.
  • London. Great Britain.
I've travelled 125 km by car, and 1678 by plane.

Hogar dulce hogar.

No valen excusas.

Home sweet home.

Twenty four hours in Granada are enough to realize how much I had missed it. I have to thank all my friends and my family for that surprise party. I didn't think we were going to meet up almost all of us.

No matter how often we talk to each other, I love you all.

For those who didn't come, I missed you, but we have still few days to meet up. No excuses!

Vuelta a casa.

Coming home.

I'm not proud of the nationality I have. But just after 24 hours in Spain I feel at home.
I haven't met up with  my friends yet, but I really missed my family. And it's been so nice to have lunch with some cousins and uncles I hadn't seen for a long time.

Also having dinner with my grandma, my godfather, and my cousins.

They fed me enough, so I won't need to eat again in a few days.

But the best thing I've done, was a lovely walk by the beach. Wearing shorts for the first time since I couldn't remember.

I don't know where I'm going to end up in a few years. I don't know if I'd like to live in this country in the future, but this weather it's just amazing!

Some pictures in Torre del Mar. A small town just 30 minutes from Málaga.

Second flight. London Stansted to Málaga. Wednesday 12th, February 2014.

I paid 431 SEK. Almost 50 €. It took 3 and half hours for this flight. 1678 km.

As always with Ryanair, the flight was on time. But with their new policy, that allows you to carry a second small bag, they took most of the bags to the plane hold.
I don't like to check in my luggage, not only because of the price, but also because it's faster. But for some reason that nobody knew, the bags didn't show up until almost an hour after the plane landed.

For the first time in months, I felt the wind, and it was weird not feeling cold.
